Terms and Conditions

Quotations

All quotations are given on the basis of the information provided by the hirer. The route used is at the discretion of the Company, unless particularly specified by the hirer.  In this case it will be clearly shown on the confirmation document.

Drivers Hours

The hours of operation for the driver are regulated by law.  Neither the hirer or passengers shall delay or interrupt the journey in such a way that the driver is breaching the regulations. If a breach occurs the hirer will be responsible for any additional costs incurred.

Use of Vehicle

The hirer cannot assume use of the vehicle between outward and return journey, nor to remain at destination for hirers use, unless previously agreed by the Company.

Route and Time Variation

The Company reserves the right to levy extra charges for any additional mileage or time in excess of the original hire agreement. The vehicle will depart at the times agreed by the hirer.  It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that their passengers are all accounted for and are at the bus by the agreed times. The Company does not accept any liability for losses incurred by passengers who fail to follow the hirers instructions.

Seating Capacity

At the time of the booking the legal seating capacity will be specified.  The hirer must ensure that the load is not beyond the vehicles capacity. 

Conveyance of Animals

No animals (other than geode dogs notified to the Company in advance of the hire) are permitted to travel on the bus without the express written permission of the Company.

Vehicle Provision

The Company reserves the right to provide a larger vehicle than that specified unless specifically instructed by the hirer. In such circumstances no additional levies will be made for the vehicle.  The Company also reserves the right to substitute another vehicle (including those of other operators) or ancillary facilities for all, or part of, the hire subject to the substitutes being of equivalent value.  The Company will always correspond with the hirer in such circumstances.

Breakdowns and Delays

The Company gives its advice on journey times in good faith.  In the even on breakdown, traffic congestion or other events beyond the Companies control, journey times may be longer than expected.  The Company does not accept any liability for loss or inconvenience caused to the hirer.

Passenger Property

Vehicles are subject to restrictions on carrying luggage for safety reasons. The hirer accepts that the driver shall be the sole judge as to whether, or what extent, passengers property is carried. Large items may not be carried and the hirer should notify the Company of any special requirements. All property left on the vehicle by the passengers is the sole responsibility of the passenger.  The Company does not accept any liability for damage or loss of these items.

Conduct of Passengers

The driver is responsible for the safety of those on the vehicle at all times and, as such, may remove any passenger from the vehicle whose behavior/conduct is deemed to prejudice the safety of the vehicle and other passengers. The hirer is responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle by any passenger for the duration of hire.

Alcohol

The Company operates a strict no alcohol rule on all of its vehicles. Any alcohol must be stored in the luggage compartment of the vehicle.  If the driver deems that a passenger is under the influence of alcohol to the point of being abusive, disruptive or disrespectful, they have the right to remove the passenger at any time during the hire.  The Company will not be liable for any inconvenience or losses as a result of this.

Smoking

The Company operates a strict no smoking policy on all of its vehicles.  It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that all passengers respect this.  Any passenger who fails to comply may be removed from the vehicle at the drivers discretion.  The Company will not be liable for any inconvenience or losses as a result of this.

Payment Terms

Payment terms for the booking will be confirmed, in writing, to the hirer and must be adhered to.  If the hirer fails to supply the agreed deposit, or subsequently fails to provide the final payment, the Company reserves the right to cancel the hire.

Cancellation Charges

If the hirer cancels a booking over seven days prior to the departure date then a full refund will be made available.  However, should the hirer cancel within seven days of the departure date then the Company will retain 50% of the total hire charge.

Cancellation by the Company

In the event of circumstances beyond the Companies control including (but not limited to) civil unrest, strikes, police road closures, terrorist attacks etc, or in the event of the hirer taking any action varying agreed conditions unilaterally the Company may, by returning all monies paid and without further liability, cancel the hire.
