A134 Bury Road Closure Thetford

The road has reopened & service is back to normal.

There is now NO access onto the A134 at Queensway, what was supposed to be closed next week is now closed from today.

Service 84 is not able to serve Kimms Belt / Fulmerston Road & Bracken Road on the A134.
Diversion will take the bus from St Martins Way, straight down the A11 to Barnham.


From the 10th to the 21st of August we have a major road closure on the Bury Road in Thetford.

Buses will be unable to access the A134 between Mill Lane & the Nunn’s Bridges Junction.
Services affected are the T1 / 84 & 86.

Service T1 will serve the loop around Elm Road, back up Kimm’s Belt then use the London Road to access the Bus Interchange.

The following stops will not be served for the duration of the closure.


  •  – Fulmerston Road.

  •  – Icknield Way / Saxon Close.

Passengers wishing to board at these stops are advised to catch the bus from Kimm’s Belt.


Service 84 we be split into 2 separate diversions.

1st week (10th to 14th of August)
From Kimm’s Belt the service will turn right onto Staniforth Road, onto Queesway then right towards Bury St Edmunds.
The following bus stops will not be served.


  •  – Icknield Way / Saxon Close

  •  – Queensway Bury Road Bus Stop

Passengers are advised to alight opposite the Harvest Garage adjacent to the Nunn’s Bridges Junction.

2nd week (17th to 21st August)
There will be no access onto the Bury Road for the duration.
Once the service has exited St Martin’s Way the bus will divert along the London Road & A11 to the access the A134 at Barnham.
The following bus stops will not be served.


  •  – Kimms Belt / Mingay Road

  •  – Fulmerston Road

  •  – Icknield Way / Saxon Place

  •  – Queensway / Bury Road

  •  – Bury Road / Harvest Garage adj. Nunn’s Bridges Junction
